Introductions and Welcome:
Public Comments: The Oklahoma City Mayor’s Committee on Disability Concerns welcomes citizens comments at the beginning of each meeting. Comments shall be limited to three (3) minutes and citizens must sign in at least five (5) minutes before the meeting is scheduled to begin. Citizens that are not committee members are not permitted to participate in regular meeting discussion. By signing up for comments, you acknowledge the commenting procedures of the committee.

Emergency Management – Frank Barnes
- COVID Report
- Health care workers now shifting to endemic response. Getting back to normal.
- Severe weather system
- OKC is the only city in the state that offers Deaflinks that offers warnings in accessible formats. Its free through the city’s website.
- Based on zip codes, so it can also serve metro area
- Frank is retiring – April will be his last meeting.
City ADA Coordinator – Keith Wilkinson
- I live off Santa Fe and have watched a woman push her husband through grass to the bus stop. I have asked for a side walk for a while and finally found money for that. So we are going to put in a sidewalk there.
- Complaint from a citizen about a corner of Wilshire and Main
- Citizen explained what was wrong and we are going to fix it. I am glad they explained it to me.
- If you are interested in moving the meetings to the Training Center. They are adding a couple more ramps and more parking spaces. As soon as that’s done, we can start meeting there.

- We dodged a bullet this winter so far. Storm season is coming up, so I hope it doesn’t get to bad.

Strategic Planning — Larry Hopper
- Disability Accessible event is in the planning stages for May 14 tentatively name Walk and Roll on the westside of Overhoster. The event is meant to bring attention to a group that puts together disability accessible tricycle aimed for 3rd world countries.

Other Business
- Grant application: Lori Wathen reported we currently have 33 applications. We are going to have a total of 39. We will have to reopen the application process, and encourages everyone to share it one more time. We need to quickly get another 6 applicants.
- We are sending the Walmart subscription cards out by registered mail.
New Business
- none
Reports from Members on Boards and Commissions
- Adam needs off the committee he’s on because it meets at the same time OKC MCDC meets.
- Ken’s was cancelled due to weather
- Downtown Urban Renewal – Tabitha Pope finally got on the committee as a guest and will attend next month meeting. Her other meeting was cancelled.
- Scott got back on the email list for his committee. He is being called by architects about how strict the city is being on accessibility code, which is a good thing.
- Liz’s COPTA meeting got moved.
- Lori attended the Parks Commission. They were unable to do any business because the didn’t have quorum.
- Library Commission: Lori Wathen did not attend
- Ken attended the Traffic commission. It did not have any accessibility items.
- Sidna could not attend the Convention Visitor Bureau at the airport due to a scheduling conflict.
Announcements from Members
- Frank Barnes: Able Tech can provide AT for weather radios
- Scott Ellis: first Saturday in June, meeting at the Bronco Bowl in Mustang PVA is hosting a picnic and car show from 11 am to 2 pm.
- Lori Wathen: Sooner Success respite retreat for caregivers. It sold out in four hours. We need respite for our caregivers.
- Adam Lane’s Ride Across America starts April 11 in San Diego and will end in New York. He hopes to be in the meetings for the next three months but not sure if can.
