Call to Order

Secretary Sidna Madden Trimmel called the meeting to order at 9:03 am

Introductions and Welcome:

Public Comments: The Oklahoma City Mayor’s Committee on Disability Concerns welcomes citizens comments at the beginning of each meeting. Comments shall be limited to three (3) minutes and citizens must sign in at least five (5) minutes before the meeting is scheduled to begin. Citizens that are not committee members are not permitted to participate in regular meeting discussion. By signing up for comments, you acknowledge the commenting procedures of the committee.

  • Driver embedded at Palimar – 5 year anniversary – Marilyn Dillon
  • MAPS 4 receiving more money due to increase in sales tax
  • Meeting with ODOT setting up a statewide mobility program
  • Family Fall Festival, Saturday, October 1st from 11am-2pm. MCDC is co-sponsoring the hot dog lunch. Festival will be held at Woven Life across from Children’s Hospital. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/family-fall-festival-tickets-405337945707 – Lori Wathen
  • Sooner SUCCESS is also hosting a Wrightslaw Training, about Special Education Law. Tuesday, Oct 4th at Metro Tech Center (Springlake Campus), www.wrightslawok2022.eventbrite.com , We do have parent scholarships available. Or the cost is $40. but includes lunch and 3 books with value over $60.
  • Ability-Focused Job Fair (upcoming topic): We’ll have ASL & Spanish interpreters, accessible parking, sensory-sensitive room and visual aids & services available. It’s October 11, 10am-1pm at Metro Tech Center’s Springlake Campus (1900 Springlake Dr.).
