Reports from Emergency Management and City ADA Coordinator

Emergency Management – Lt. Bryan Taylor / Capt. Audrea George

  • [Secretary could not hear the whole report. ] OKC had the Air Show on July 1st and 2nd; Red, White and Blue at Scissor Tail Park on July 3rd and July 4th the regular fireworks.

City ADA Coordinator – Keith Wilkinson

  • We received several complaints in the past about the Zoo Ampitheatre about ADA progress. Last year, the Zoo did a project to ensure they had an accessible path, seating and restrooms. We’ve recently received one complaint. They complained about all those things. Keith has an audit schedule for the week after this meeting to make sure that things are good. A lot of the complaints before came from one arean and I don’t know if this was like a higher dollar seating area, not just general seating area, was not accessible.
  • Women’s World College Series – complaints about how they were operating. He needs to check on that.
  • Pedestrian Bridge over NW Expressway. The ramp is not the correct. He has to get the construction company to see what they are going to do.
  • Scott Ellis asked about maintenance keeping the sidewalks in good shape. Keith said those are generally kept up as complaints come in.
  • Resident trees are the responsibility of the homeowner to keep the sidewalk clear.
