Call to Order

Vice Chair Adam Lane called the meeting to order at 9:01 am

Public Comments: The Oklahoma City Mayor’s Committee on Disability Concerns welcomes citizens comments at the beginning of each meeting. Comments shall be limited to three (3) minutes and citizens must sign in at least five (5) minutes before the meeting is scheduled to begin. Citizens that are not committee members are not permitted to participate in regular meeting discussion. By signing up for comments, you acknowledge the commenting procedures of the committee.

Reports from Emergency Management and City ADA Coordinator

Emergency Management – David Storer

  • Working on the Memorial Marathon
  • Olympic Trials
  • Preparing New Website

City ADA Coordinator – Keith Wilkinson

  • Recapped the Christmas gifts for the foster kids assigned to OKC MCDC
  • Woodson Park – East side of the interstate has new ball fields, trails, remodeled
  • AmTrack platform inspected
  • Finalized the 1-240 athletic complex was built in the 70s wasn’t compliant and it is now. Now owned by the city
    • Parking and concession area and seating
  • Embark
    • 500 new shelters to include front and back loading and unloading
  • New Senior Center inspection on showers.
  • The plaza area new sidewalk from 16th and Penn
  • SW 29th Street – limited right away sidewalk project had few hiccups but working on
  • Paeso was a tough job. They are 3/4 done and making it work. The engineer has done an excellent job.
  • City Arts got all partners together to ensure ADA
  • ODOT – Sarah Road and SW 59 – a hawk fried wires by trying to eat his rabbit causing the new stop light not to work.
