Annual Reports

ADA Workshop — Sidna Madden Trimmell

  • No workshop in 2023 – no report.

Barrier-Free Design — Scott Ellis

  • Over the past year we have seen a decline in requests for inspections and assistance. I think the reason for this is the Plan Review team for the city are taking great care to ensure accessibility. Scott did 27 courtesy inspections mainly for parking and ramp access.

Outreach / Communications — Herb Bailey / Co-chair Liz Scheffe

  • In my role on the outreach subcommittee I tried to promote the committee in the community when I am meeting with committee members.  I also post items on the MCDC Facebook page that I believe would be of interest to persons that have a disability or work with persons with a disability.  I encourage members of the committee to send me information to share on social media.

Emergency Response — Ken Wyatt

Membership Review — Lori Wathen

  • We had 3 new members (Cal Bryant, Linda Bryant and Kyle King) join the committee in 2023 and 1 (Greg Morgan) to be voted on in this meeting.

Reconvene into the regular meeting – Sidna Madden

  • Greg Morgan memebership vote – Sidna Trimmell
