  • Sidna asked the committee if they wanted to continue with the on-line video?
    • Frank Barnes said that the City discussed this and are waiting for the positivity rate to get below five percent and the counties the City goes into to be in the green alert category. Then they want to see if it is sustained for 28 days before they make a decision.
    • Vera Cheek agreed that we should continue the on-line video and wait and see.
    • Marilyn Kelly agreed to the on-line video. She offered to look into the City’s conference room where we could social distance and connect to on-line video system, if we wanted to do a hybrid meeting.
    • Jacob Hill said that this is so easy that we should keep it.
  • Sidna also announced the Center for Independent Living in Norman, Progressive Independence, is offering vaccinations for people with co-morbidity issues and people with disabilities. They are starting with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The first vaccines are tomorrow and the contact person is Haley Mathis. Her contact is hailey@progind.org.

    • We had the ice storm and we got clear of that and they ramped up the vaccines
    • We run vaccine pods.

    • More and more vaccine are becoming available and increasing the pods. Only authorized for 18 plus on the vaccine they get.

City ADA Coordinator – Keith Wilkinson

  • A citizen went to a golf course using a non traditional device and the staff turned him away.
  • The rule committee of the Golf Commission rewrote the rule to match the ADA; we can’t dictated the devices a person wants to use. The rule changes have gone to the public for comment. It was an update we needed.
